Why is Part 5 different from a normal PDF field?
Part 5 of Form I-864 calculates the sponsor's household size.
That number can depend on information such as:

Other immigrants being sponsored on the same affidavit
The sponsor
The sponsor's spouse
Dependent children
Other dependents
Certain previously sponsored immigrants
Household members whose income is being included
Because some of those numbers come from earlier answers, the interactive PDF may calculate parts of the household-size section automatically.
That means you may not be able to click directly into every box and change it.
Why is the household-size number wrong?
If Part 5 shows a number you do not expect, first check the answers earlier in the form.

Whether a household member is contributing income
A wrong answer in one of those places can change the calculated household size.
Why can't I just type over the number?
Because the field may be designed as a calculated field.
